Toby Christian

Toby Christian (born 1983, Lincolnshire, UK) lives and works in London. After graduating from Wimbledon College of Art in 2007, Christian was included in 'ArtFutures 2008', held at the Bloomberg Space, London. He has since exhibited in numerous exhibitions internationally such as 'Presque Rien II' at Laure Genillard Gallery, London (2009), 'Psychedelia Paradise' at EXPRMNTL Galerie, Toulouse (2009), 'Arsenal', Baró Galeria, Sao Paulo (2010), and 'Agora: Simultaneous I Instantaneous', Santander Cultural Centre, Porto Alegre, Brazil (2011). Recent exhibitions include Coletiva, Baró Galeria, Sao Paulo, Brazil (2012), 'In the Light of the Overhead', Postbox Gallery, London (2012) and 'The Aspiration Factory', Aeroplastics Contemporary, Brussels (2012). In 2012, Christian was also awarded a commission by Artsadmin to create a work for the Bethnal Green Old Town Hall, and graduated from the Royal Academy Schools in London, receiving the Gold Medal.
