Christina Pettersson

Christina Pettersson was born in Stockholm, Sweden and currently lives in Miami, Florida. She is known for her meticulous, large scale graphite drawings, multi screen videos and sculptural installations. She received a Fulbright Grant to return to Sweden in 2000, attending the Valand School of Fine Art. She has received the South Florida Cultural Consortium Fellowship twice, the largest regional sponsored grants in the US, and had a documentary made about her for ArtnetTV.  She's attended residencies at the Vermont Studio Center and Yaddo, exhibited work at the Miami Art Museum and Museum of Contemporary Art, Miami, as well as nationally and internationally, and is in the permanent collections of Martin Z. Margulies at the Warehouse, Marty & Cricket Taplin at the Sagamore Hotel, Debra and Dennis Scholl and Arturo Mosquera.  She was named one of the 'Young Miami artists making a mark this Art Basel' by The Miami Herald in December. Her fifth solo show just took place at the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood. Her first New York show opened this year.
