Andrzej Pagowski
Graphic artist, poster designer
Born in Warsaw, Poland.
Pagowski designed more than 1,000 film, theatre and social posters, printed both in Poland and abroad, many of them brought him numerous Polish and International awards and distinctions, among them there are the Best of Show awards in the International Competition for The Best TV and Film Poster in Los Angeles and first prizes in the Chicago International Film Poster Competition.
He is also an author of book illustrations, drawings for magazines, artwork for CD booklets as well as TV and theatre stage designer and a screenwriter.
For several years he was "Playboy" Polish Edition Creative Director.
Lately he specialized in painting, “print on canvas” technique.
Posters and paintings of Andrzej Pagowski have been exhibited in many individual and collective exhibitions inPoland and abroad, and his artworks can be found in numerous collections - among other in the Museum of Modern Art in New York and in Centre Pompidou in Paris.
